Most Valuable Pet (MVP) Contest!!!

Enter your pet in the BISSELL Most Valuable Pet (MVP) Contest at www.bissell.com/MVP10.aspx. Our friends at BISSELL are accepting pet photos from the public through March 25, 2010. In addition to having your pet featured on BISSELL pet product packaging, the lucky winning pet parents will receive a $500 shopping spree AND a $10,000 donation to the pet cause of their choice. That could be ACRA!

Four runners up will also be featured on BISSELL packaging and have donations of $5,000 or $1,000 made to their favorite pet cause.

Reach out to all your friends and family, and encourage everyone you know to vote for your pet. Let them know that not only can your pet be named MVP, they could be helping many more pets by selecting ACRA as their favorite pet cause. Winners will also receive a BISSELL pet-cleaning product.

How you can help make a difference!

If you would like to help Akron Canine Rescued Angels to save rescued dogs and puppies, we would love to have you! There are many, many ways you can help!

Donations:

ACRA can always use donations for the rescue directly or for the Helping Hitch Fund. For more information on donating, please go to donation page.

Fosters:

ACRA can always use fosters! We are a new rescue and have few foster homes so if you think you'd like to help by fostering dogs and/or puppies please contact us ! Fosters get to help choose what they foster, as we want you to have only what you can handle. ACRA provides the food, crates/kennels, dishes, etc. You provide the love and warmth of a foster home until the dog/pup gets adopted. Many times these animals get adopted quickly so fostered dogs/pups seldom last more then a couple weeks, and usually the foster time is less then that. We match the foster to your home, for example if you have cats in your home we will make certain any dog is temperament tested to be safe with your cats before you would foster them, etc.

Volunteers:

Not all our members are currently able to foster due to their current home circumstances. We still need help with things like adoption events, transport pick ups, home visits, fundraisers, and more. If you have the time to help even if you can't foster right now, we would still love to have you as a member! Contact us for more information on the volunteer opportunities available. ACRA does allow junior members also, so if you have a youth under 18 who would like to do community service and has a love of dogs, we can use always use their help too and will sign off on their community service log.
